The Golden Island

In 2023, we created a campaign to promote McDonald’s loyalty program and its “M” points system through a Jump and Run game. Bringing back classic McDonald’s characters with a fresh new look, we built the fantastic Golden Island, with levels inspired by iconic products.

The Hamburglar, now guarding the “M” coins, fled after learning he could trade them for rewards—leaving a trail behind. Players joined Birdie and Grimace to collect coins in weekly-released levels and win prizes, just like in the loyalty program.

With stages like “The Fry Fortress” and “McFlurry Mountains,” the game hit over 108k plays in its first 8 hours — impressive for the Swiss market.
